Gardening, Design and Estate Maintenance

This garden itself is quite a challenge as access to the garden is limited. The garden back on to a small stream too that flows quickly but doesn't effect the garden, even in harsh weather.
My brief was to design a simple area with different textured flooring. The client wanted access to the bottom of the garden where they also wanted to work near the stream. Two sides of the garden are in Full sunshine so my brief was to fully plant them for a celebration of the summer look.
So adding a round lawn with block edging makes the area easy to maintain. Creating a round patio with a hexagonal summerhouse makes the whole area match. adding evergreen plants mixed with cottage style planting gives a really lush feel that comes alive in the summer.
Shade planting was drawn in for the sides of the garden that are in the shade and the colours and forms match the other sides for balance. The gravel area at the top of the garden is for a outside bar that's half covered.
